Ian, I like the 12 ga boxes for my .58 cal musket rounds and the 20 ga for my .50 cal carbine. I have settled on Plano cases, not because they are that much better than the MTM, but because the two-piece construction makes them easier for me to work with and because although they all have the same exterior dimensions for efficient storage, they are color coded red for 12 and yellow for 20 ga for quick ID. :D

As to your question about the tubes, I've bought mine on Sutlers' Row at the Nationals, but I bet some of the sutlers on the list on this site could help you out. I know S&S and Lodgewood (among others) sell via Internet or snail mail. :idea:
