Wanted 1842 Gun Parts

I am working out a deal in getting an original 1842 Springfield. The musket has been cut down. I have not gotten the musket yet, but I will need a barrel, stock, and top nose cap. Does anyone have any of these parts that they are willing to sell? I would like to get original parts. It will be about a week or two before I will be able to start buying the parts.

Why not stretch the barrel and stock that are on your cut down musket. I'm sure someone will sell you an original barrel, stock, and front band but those parts loose will cost as much as a full musket.

I'm thinking about streching the barrel. The stock, it is too far gone to do anything with. The wood around the lockplate is falling off.
