Maybe I missed it but is the 1860 model U.S. made Henry made by the Henry Repeating Arms Company N-SSA approved?

The Henry rifle manufactured by the Henry Rifle Company has not yet been submitted for approval to the SAC.

Phil,
I sent an e-mail to their Customer Service manager Tom Kotz, to contact you for information to get their gun approved. I don't think they were even aware of the requirement. Hope this helps!

Thanks Bob, I will direct them to John Holland, our SAC chair. And I do seem to think they might have been in touch with him at the beginning of their Henry rifle project.

It is a fine looking piece! It does seem heavier than the ones we now use.

Looks the same to me, and is still clocking in at 9lbs. Oh yea, and about twice as much.

In late Sept. 2012, I enthusiastically announced on this BB information about the, soon to be on the market, American made replica of the 1860 Henry Rifle, as made by the Henry Repeating Arms Co. Their Customer Service Dept. sent a copy of the post to the owner, Anthony Imperato. Mr. Imperato in turn contacted me. He said that he wasn't at all pleased with my "premature announcement" of their new product. I then deleted the post and sent him an apology, in which I explained the post had been permanently deleted. I then explained in detail the entire "N-SSA Manufacturing Approval Process", and how the N-SSA's membership would look forward to an American made product. Mr. Imperato replied to me indicating he would contact us sometime in the future when he was ready to do so.

The ball is in their court, and has been so for quite some time.

Watched an infomercial on it yesterday. President of company most proud. Needs to know who we are and what we do. Marketing dip needs to be bypassed with prejudice..
