So last weekend after our skirmish was over I hung around and put some rounds through my new Uberti Walker that Santa brought for Christmas.

I had loaded up some cartridges with my usual .44 tubes. They would only hold 50 grains and still get the ball in the end of the tube.

Anyone know where you can get some "extra long" tubes for making up 60 grain cartridges?

At 100 yards I was able to kiss a 12" square piece of sheet rock once, though I was holding it with two hands. Then at 50 yards I missed with all 6 shots one-handed. I finished at 25 yards and my 6th shot cut the wire!

It's very tame even at 50 grains. But then the gun weighs 4.5 pounds.

The Winchester Sutler has the yellow soft tubes in hunting length. If I remember they claim a capacity of 100 grains and they can be cut down with a pair of scissors.
