A couple of newbie musket questions

May I ask a couple of questions here as a newbie? Musket percussion cap size for a 61 Springfield both Armisport and Pedersoli ( I believe it to be a #11 ?) and what would be the best approved black powder, number included if possible? Thank you in advance

Steve, we use musket size caps, #11 are normally used on revolvers along with #10's. I believe Goex black powder is the most commonly used brand in either 2ff or 3ff, there are others also like swiss, shutzuen, kik, etc.

Yup, like Francis said, muskets use musket caps. I prefer German-made Dynamit Nobel caps.

I am not a fan of Shuetzen. It is noticeably dirtier than Goex. I have heard great things about Swiss, and intend to try it on my next bulk purchase.
