Anyone know what this is. Someone wanting a $100 bucks for an unfired one which has been around forever. Never heard of Hawes?

Hawes. they were around in the 1970's as I remember. I think they made the 45-70 revover, The Virginian. But then, my memory is shot

Hawes is an importer, and there are two 1858 Remington's on the Approved Arms List listed under "Hawes".

Today, the SAC would dearly love to know which Italian company actually made the revolvers marked "Hawes". In our research of the Hawes revolvers one SAC member came up with a 1975 catalog with Hawes revolvers, but no info on the actual manufacturer.

Pat, can you, or anyone else, provide any additional info as to actual maker of Hawes revolvers?
