Aside from having a shallow three-groove barrel in .58, but with the original sight for the .54, what other issues can a fellow expect with this rifle? I assume it is made up largely from Euroarms parts, but Pedersoli has also been know to take a "wrong" reproduction and try to make it "righter," as in their P-58 Enfield. Has Pedersoli made any significant changes in their 1841? Was thinking it might be a decent rifle if fitted with a proper sight for an 1855.

The Pedersoli 1841 Rifle is a new build, they did not use old Euroarms parts. The sample the N-SSA's Small Arms Committee inspected, and submitted to the Board of Directors for approval, was a very nicely done rifle, properly marked, and with a 7 groove barrel as per the original. The grooves were not quite as deep as the original M-1841, as it is designed for a Burton Ball, and not a patched round ball which the original M-1841 Rifle was designed for.
