Hi Joe,

Muffin tins from the second-hand store work nicely for making small ingots for dropping into lead pots.

Just make sure you do not get a tin-plated one. If you pour molten lead into a tin-plated muffin pan, it will alloy with the tin and bond to the pan.

I've got one with the "no stick" coating and it works fine.

The iron "cornbread" pan works well also. The resulting 'lead cornbread stick' is easy to handle, melts quick in your casting pot, and never sticks to the pan! Can be found at outdoor stores, and flea markets.

If you can find one for less than a $1, buy it. If you want more than one you may have to pay more?

My wife gave me a pan she called a brownie pan, but it had 12 slots in it, once I pour the lead in each one weights 2lbs. So I get 24lbs in one pouring. It was also Teflon coated.

Looks something like this,
