Does anybody know where I might find a tool to remove the screw on the lock of a Belgian import musket? The rear lock screw with the two pin holes.

Thanks,
Walter

If you don't find a tool you may want to try using a sharp nose needle nosed pliar spread to the proper width.

A small pair of 90 degree snap ring pliers may work. They work on a two hole sight base screw.

I just took a small screwdriver and filed it to fit. Works great.

I haven't found a set of needle nose that quite fit. The Snap ring pliers did just that, snapped off one the prongs of the pliers. Thanks for the suggestions though.

I don't know the center-to-center offset dimension of the screw you wish to remove. S&S used to sell a wrench for installing the M1855-65 rear sight screws that might work, or you could always make a wrench to fit the screw head, perhaps modify an adjustable crescent wrench with two offset pins or perhaps maybe try making an adjustable pin spanner wrench like the one shown in the link below:

I have a M-55-65 sight wrench, too wide. I will try Jim suggestion with a screw driver. Thanks guys.

Jim's idea worked great. I used one of the removable type flat head bits, and with a Dremel tool made short work of it. Had it shaped and the screw out in about 30 minutes.
