Bought and never shot, it is in excellent shape with all correct Parker Hale Birmingham low xxxx serial #markings, NOT ITALIAN, has a beautiful dark walnut checkered stock,perfect .451 bore, in pristine condition and color cased lock and hammer, original ramrod with nylon bore center. I got used with no accessories, Lyman mold is still made. $950 plus shipping or can bring to Winchester. Pics available.

I just purchased a first generation Parker Hale .451 Voluneer Rifle off of GunBroker (s/n 11xx). I obtained a Lyman bullet mould and just cast my first 200 bullets. However, I have not had time too shot it yet.

Since I have one, now my friend, Michael Caltabiano (Phone 301 933-9109) wants one also. Go Figure! He is getting up there in age and can't remember his password. So I am writing on his behalf. Please give him a call.

We are members of the 12th US Regulars and will be attending the NSSA Nationals on May 14-17, 2009. Please bring the Volunteer rifle with you to Winchester, VA. If the rifle is in reasonable condition, I am confident that you will have no need to cart it back home. As this is the first reply to your posting, I ask that you give Mr. Caltabiano first dibs on purchasing the rifle.

The 12th US Regulars campsite is directly up the hill from the sutlers and behind the Washington Blue Rifles. We will come to your camp to look at the rifle. What NSSA unit do you belong too? And, where is that unit's campsite?

One last question. I see you are from Memphis, Tenn. So I can assume you are a Southerner. Under the NSSA rules, is a Reb allowed to sell a rifle to a Yankee? Is that proper? Just joking!!!
