I have a Whitney I purchased about 8 years ago from James River. I replaced the Hoyt barrel with a Whitacre barrel. I also stripped and restrained the stock. The lock has been tuned. The rifle shoots great, I am just rotating some stock around. I have not shot this in two years. It has the long range rear sight and the dovetailed front sight.
It still shoots great! I have over $1300 invested in it. I am looking either for an original 1861 (with out the lock is fine, I have a lock for an 1861) or $900 in cash.
