I have an Armisport 1842 that shoots to the right. I'm going to attempt to bend the barrel to get the windage on center. I'm going to use a hydraulic press and a set of vee blocks to control the amount of bend. Can I use the "error ∕ distance x sight radius = correction needed" formula as a starting point so I don't over bend? Would I use 42" as the sight radius since there is no rear sight?

Just bend it over your knee... Did it with conduit for over 40 years... My Son-in-law is our barrel adjuster...http://www.n-ssa.org/vbforum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gifhttp://www.n-ssa.org/vbforum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

The ArmiSport barrel is very tough and many of them have exhibited a tendency to have a "memory", thereby requiring readjustment later on. Eventually they will stay put!
