New Front sight for the Sharps

Ok, a year ago I obtained a nice sharps carbine repo from Pedersoli, After loading up 50 grs of 2fg swiss behind a 435gr ringtail I set up the bench and started shooting at 100 yards, nice group of 10 shots inside 5 inch circle, problem is they were all 2 feet high, so I decided to make a new front sight, here is the pics.1880188118821883used a dime, figured it would work perfect, now Im dead on a 100 yards.

anyone who defaces in any way a coin or banknote that is in legal circulation in the U.S. is subject to a 6-month sentence and an unlimited fine. This includes cutting, glueing together, disfiguring and even mutilating the bill or coin to the extent that it cannot be reissued by a bank. :(

Well since the NSA keeps records of all internet traffic I've basically confessed to defacing communist currency and in fact have dropped the dime on myself...I will report myself to the IRS and hand over all the Quarters that I've shot holes thru....

Contact John Holland for an answer! I recall that a replacement sight must resemble an original sight.(?) John can tell you for sure! Looks neat though! Bob

I suppose I could have stuck with the era and used a Lincoln Head Penny.....:rolleyes:
