Inquiring minds want to know. Is there a difference between 1855 and 1861 riled musket bands, or are they essentially the same? The reason I ask, is if I am in the process of building a Richmond rifle, is there a difference between the bands? I know the 1861 special model bands are different, and the 63/64 bands are different in contour and size, but are 55's and 61's the same?Bryan Davis
