Hi new to the forum. I'm sure this is a silly question but I can't figure it out by just looking at it. I just received my Uberti 1860 Army today. I had expected to see 3 screws on the side plate. I also see a screw with a raised head on either side of the side plate. I'm wondering what this screw does. I believe the other 3 are for the hammer, bolt and trigger. I'm planning on disassembling tomorrow to clean out all the packing oil. Thanks,Will

I believe it's to mount a shoulder stock.

It should also have a semi circular notch in the bottom of the steel grip strap, this was for the locking screw that was part of the shoulder stock.
