For sale is a new, never flown, 1863 Union flag replica with 35 stars in an oval pattern. I had this flag made several years ago of nylon for durability to fly when tenting at regionals, then moved to Maine. I no longer go to the regionals so am selling the flag. The flag is a replica of an original flag shown in Echo's Of Glory. The original was 6 foot square but this one is scaled down to 4 feet 8 inches by 4 foot 8 inches. A handmade heavy duty cotton flag bag and a three section take apart flag pole is included. As far as I can tell this flag was carried by at least the following US Infantry Regiments during the Civil War: The 100th Illinois, the 33rd New Jersey, the 20th Connecticut and the 20th Maine. Other units may have carried this flag as well. At any rate it is an 1863 Civil War 35 star Union flag representative of the period, no matter which Union regiment carried it.
