I am Trying to switch from shootin my enfield to shooting my Zuave. I am currently using a .578 miniball mold. I would like to change to a better more accurate bullet. Any Suggestions?

Try a Lyman or Rapine New Style bullet sized to .001-.002 under the bore. We, my team, all shoot either a Lyman .575213 or Lyman .580213 sized .002 under the bore diameter and it is a very accurate bullet at both 50 and 100yds. This past summer my Dad and I shot this bullet out to 500yds in our Enfields and kept all shots within a 2ft area prone resting off our elbows and we also did this standing, so this bullet is very accurate at any range.

where the heck did you get the Lyman 580 mould? I've been looking for a 582 or 585 for a long time. Ken

I am using an RCBS 500M in my Zouave (Whitaker barrel - .577) sized to 576 with 45 grains of 3f powder. Shoots like a charm.

Just put a post on the board that you want to buy either a Lyman .580 or Lyman .585 and someone is bound to have one they're willing to sell. I suggested the .575213 because most of the time they're a little oversized and throw bullets in the .576-.577 range and these can be sized down to fit you bore. The .575213 is also still in production and can be found new for a good price.
