I have for sale an original 1832 Springfield musket that was converted in 1860 by Hughes & Philips to a sighted smoothbore for the American Civil War. It is all original including the Ramrod. I also have 2 custom molds to go along with it. This gun was resurfaced by Hoyt to smooth out the bore about 5 years ago. The molds are sized at .705 & .708. I have been using the one that is .708 and this seams to work the best. It already has a SAC card issued in 2002 by John Holland that will go along with the gun. There is also a second front sight/band that will be included.
It shoots pretty good as…Once at a local shoot there were 8 targets at 25 yards to shoot. My partner didn’t show up to shoot the match so when the horn blew I was on my own. I was able to shoot all eight targets before the horn blew for the end of the relay. I didn’t win but I only missed once with this gun. $1500 + shipping. I can send more pictures on request.
