Hey guys,
I'm looking for a musket for my US impression, and I'm thinking an 1855 or '61 Springfield or an 1842 Springfield. Additionally, I may be interested in a Short Land or India Pattern Brown Bess as well, just testing the waters. Muskets must be repros in at least decent condition and safe for live firing (no Indian muskets, sorry). Would entertain buying with slings, bayonets, etc as well. Feel free to reply or PM me @ wthoms1992@aol.com
Thanks

Dear Sir,
For your consideration this is a Springfield 1858 Cadet-
Using as many original parts as possible, and made to NSSA specs, offering for sale this Springfield Cadet with a original barrel newly relined by R.Hoyt in (.576) 3 land and groove. Stretched stock, and original Lock with repro door. The barrel is glass bedded, the tumbler is original and finely tuned to a 3.5 lb trigger pull.
Cadets are not for everyone, but if a 1" shorter trigger pull appeals to you, along with the long range sight and 38" barrel, it does offer a unique hold.

Price is 1195.00

Thank you, Steve Doyle.

Mr. Doyle,
Thanks for the offer, and it is a great looking weapon, but it's a little out of my price range. Looking for something less than a new ArmiSport (for the Springfields) or Pederesoli (for the Bess), though I will also consider defarbs.
Thank you for your time,
Will Thoms

Curry,
Can I get some pics of the Bess, with a description of it's use, condition, etc? I assume the bayonet has a scabbard? And what do you mean it's dated 1862?
Thanks,
Will

Mr. Gaul,Sorry, but I am not looking for an original; I would be too inclined to donate it to a museum for fear of harming it.
