Robert Elka of Custom Molds makes a bit for your drill to trim the sprues from your cast round balls for $22 (includes postage). E-mail him the size of your roundball at custom.moulds@gmail.com

bobby takes round stock and steps it down to fit in a drill. on the big end he cups it and make cutter blades in the cup. you just hold the ball then spin the cutter in a drill. the sprue goes away in about two seconds. works pretty slick. you cant make it for what he sells them for. i got a pretty good lathe and mill and i bought mine from him rather than take the time to make it myself. hp

I heard it was your design.

It works GREAT. One hint, wear a leather glove so the ball doesn't spin in your fingers.

actualy kenny hodges had a guy at his voag school make some. but the fellow wasnt a shooter and didnt quite understand what was needed. so the first few varried quite a bit and some worked well and others didnt. i asked bobby if he would take the job on and make them so they would work. thats when he started making them where they were consistant in size and shape. bobbys work great and like i said its not worth the effort to make them yourself for what he gets for them. with a smoothy you have nothing working for you but ammo. the good shots come from the fit of perfect projectiles and the perfect load and lube and of course you have to have your lead balls blessed by a mountain witch.

Love how you were sure to stick that "lead" in there! :)

I sent him an email that someone posted on this thread two days ago. He responded today and my sprue cutter is on the way. Pretty good customer service I'd say.
