I have the standard aluminum cleaning ramrod everyone seems to have for the .58 cal, carbine/musket. My question is: Where can I get a patch puller that will screw on the end? Also a ball puller? It looks like the jag will screw off from the end of the ramrod but it also will allow something to screw in the jag.

Some muskets have the end threaded of the functional rod, but neither of mine have that.

I'm sure someone has a source that I can order the correct items.

I had a patch get stuck in the barrel today and took me about 30 minutes to get it out using an old 12ga cleaning swab that I modified, this was done in the 20 degree temps today..

Thanks in advance,

Mike

A .410 shotgun brush would have fished it out fer you.

I have a seperate tackle box that contains my black powder cleaning stuff. I keep all sorts of stuff in it.

I imagine if you carry your ramrods by Lodgewood's shop at a National, Bill would thread the end of your rods for you for a nominal fee. Or maybe one of your teammates has a threading die you can use.

You can make one out of an old cork screw.

Is this what you need? I can make a ball / patch puller also.

Yup, that looks like it.

How can I get one?

Thanks,
