Pedersoli Model 1841 Mississippi rifle

I finally received my new Pedersoli 1841 today. Looks quite good except for one thing, the nipple sits on the very lower edge of the hammer recess. I have written an inquiry to the factory about this point.

I will try and post some photos in the next few days.

Another thing I noticed is the barrel has no visible proof marks, would they be under the wood line?
