ON their website, in the description of the rifles and rifle-muskets, THEY DO NOT GIVE THE NAME OF THE MANUFACTURER of their Civil War long arms!

So, when I see a Enfield Naval Rifle advertised on their website I wonder was it made by Euroarms, Armi Sport, Parker-Hale or Pedersoli!

If you contact them direct they will tell you which manufacturer they are selling.

A year, or so, ago a friend wanted to buy a P-53 from them that was on sale, but wanted to know who made it. He called them and they told him they were selling out their left over Euroarms P-53 muskets.

The main reason you won't is because there is an 11-12 week backlog, for the 3-bander anyway. :)

But I don't know what you are talking about for descriptions.

If you search for "Enfield" on their web site, you will get a listing of all 3 available Enfield arms, and they are all listed as "Pedersoli":

And when you click on the links, it clearly says "Pedersoli" along with the logo:

3-Band Enfield (http://www.cabelas.com/product/Pedersoli-Enfield-3-Band-P1853-58-Caliber-Rifle-Musket/1389476.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3D searchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProduc ts%26Ntt%3Denfield%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeade r%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=enfield&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products)
2-Band Enfield (http://www.cabelas.com/product/Pedersoli-Enfield-2-Band-P1858-58-Caliber-Short-Rifle-Musket/1389475.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3D searchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProduc ts%26Ntt%3Denfield%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeade r%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=enfield&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products)
1861 Enfield (http://www.cabelas.com/product/Pedersoli-Enfield-Musketoon-P1861-58-Caliber-Short-Rifle/1389478.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3D searchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProduc ts%26Ntt%3Denfield%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeade r%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=enfield&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products)

They all seem to be very clearly marked as "Pedersoli" Enfields.

I bought an 1853 Enfield from Cabelas about 2 months ago. It was clearly indicated on the web page under "Pedersoli". It's unfortunate that the photo used by Cabelas for the 53 does not match the current Pedersoli '53, but the rifle musket they are selling is definitely the new version. Shoots great, too. I'm glad I was able to get it, given the long backorder listed nowadays. Cabelas, Dixie, Taylor's, and at least one other US distributor linked from the Davide Pedersoli website all list this model.

This looks like a deal for the single shot match.

You are correct! I did not even notice that. The picture must be a prototype. It has incorrect case-hardened-colored barrel bands and incorrect lock plate markings.

I've been emailing back and forth with Cabella's and they seem confused. The item number they have listed for their Pedersoli P1853 does not match what I showed them on Pedersoli's web site. The customer service rep could not explain why the picture on their web site looks different from Pedersoli's.

I think they have a picture of the Pedersoli prototype.
