So what event do you use a musketoon in?

Do you use a musketoon in carbine or musket matches? What is the difference between a musketoon and a carbine?

The Musketoon is used in carbine matches. The musketoon to me is one in the same, just a front stuffer.

I shoot a "Richmond Carbine" in the carbine match, and it is a front stuffer, too. So you have breech-loading and muzzle-loading carbines. Are all musketoons muzzle-loading? I would assume so, from the name.

A musketoon just has a shorter barrel: 24" vs. 32" or more for Enfields.
