Has anyone used peanut oil with beeswax in stead of olive oil or other oils and if so what are your thoughts?

Harry,

I have and it works well. Mix a batch of 50/50 peanut oil to beeswax, then adjust smaller batches due to tempature etc. by adding more beeswax or peanut oil as needed.

Harry, Peanut oil is especially effective against targets that have a peanut allergy. They just swell up and fall right off the frame. Just thought you'd like to knowBill KnipscherTerry's Rangers

Well Harry, I guess if you dipped the bullet in Peanut Oil & Beeswax, then all you'd have to do is fill the hollow base with Grape Jelly and you could shoot the match and have lunch at the same time!

Harry,

Is the peanut oil a less expensive option? Let us know what results you get if you try a batch.

My thought for using peanut oil is it has a very high temp burning point, about 450 degrees before it starts to smoke.

A couple of peanuts were walking in a bad neighborhood at night, and one of them was a salted.

Utooooo! Here comes the bad peanut jokes.
As for the kitchen being the wifes territory. The dog is the only one that can go into the kitchen without getting hell. That says a lot for me.http://www.n-ssa.org/vbforum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif
