Hi All,
I am in search for a good used, heavy duty BP revolver loading press that could be used for the 1858 Remington .44 Army. I've tried two others that are on the market, but were just not strong enough to stand up to more than a day or two at the range.
Thank you, Nightstalker

Yer ah might bit tuff'r then that big ol' Gorilla Jump'n on them suitcases if'n ya done tore up two presses! Purdy shor' it's ah case of yer balls is to big. Mus' be what's ah mite good bit of lead off 'em. Ya need ta size yer balls to the barrel an not the cylinder.

Thanks Pat,
The Rem I'm loading is a "Tom Ball" .454 and pressing .457 balls. Got this gun from here a while back. Great shooter, just wanted to keep away from using the loading lever that's attached to the gun due to the possibility of knocking things out of wack at all, if that could happen (?)
Bought the first press that was just plain junk, the second wasn't much better, not USA made and cheepest quality that could be. I've seen the presses some guys using in videos that are much more of the type I'm looking for but have not seen one in person where I could ask where it was bought. Couldn't find one of these on the net either. Any ideas ?
Guess I could get that gorilla. Greatful for your time, thanks. Ed
&nbs p;

Ed,If'n they were that bad to start with they didn't have a chance. I had an early Ball 58 and used.454 in my ".454" barrell and whatever i aimed it at either 25 or 50 if I could hold it. Ya might wants try that. I ended up with a R&S since it fit my hand better.. But if the Gorilla likes the lead yer using he won't be mess'n with Bob's press.

Thanks Pat,
I'll try the .454 and see where they go. Good tip. Regarding the above pictured loading press, was this a custom built item or can I buy one like this somewhere?
Just what I've been looking for.
Thanks, Ed
