My Dad has a 2 banded 1861 Springfield by James River Armory

He Needs to know if this rifle is N/SSA approved for the musket competition

he has used it in the past but has only used it at a regional

who can tell me if this is N/SSA approved or not?

ALSO he has a Euro-arms made 1841 Mississippi Rifle is looking to possibly sell it IF and only IF the 1861 Springfield 2 banded rifle is N/SSA approved

Thanks for looking at my post

thank you for clarifying that with me but i'll still have either my regional commander Joe Palakis or one of the other guys at the halloween skirmish inspect it just to be safe

as for the Mississppi....what's your offer? I can send you pictures if you give me an email address

My dad is asking $850 and here is why

it has the S&S firearms long range rear sight put on it in place of the V notch rear. the rifle has had its front sight raised and the rifle comes with a mold, a factory ramrod (steel with a brass tip) and a brass ramrod

All and all my dad has alot of money in to this mississippi but the price is negotiable

Thanks

I must add a caveat here: JRA produced a wide assortment of arms and not everything was N-SSA approved.
