okay guys, you are the experts. i want my new pedersoli P53 to shoot it's best, i've been told by some british shooters that the enfields need to be bedded for consistant shooting. that being said, i'm planning on bedding it. how should i do this? accraglass? period bedding which is basically hide glue mixed with sawdust and paper shims? i know i should bed the breech and the tang, i'm guessing under each band too or should i just bed the whole barrel?

In terms of WHAT to use, that's your choice. Personally I'd use acraglas and be done with it.

I just went through this with an Enfield, and the advice I got was do the tang and breech area out about 8", and a few inches starting at the muzzle cap and going back. If that doesn't get you the results you want, then you can bed the whole thing, which seems reasonable to me.
