Retiring from shooting and must sell guns.

Remington New Model Army .44 cal. Began life as a Navy .36 Pietta repro. from DGW, but then got remake & accurizing about 5 years ago by Rob Lewis of Tri-L Machine (trued .454 cylinders, new .451 barrel w/dovetail front sight, cobalt alloy (hardened) trigger contact surfaces, movement of loader limited to push ball into front of cylinder, trigger pull adjusted) w/soft case & original box (which says, mistakenly, that it contained a M1858 Remingon Army .44). Rob said cobalt trigger surfaces are designed to "last a lifetime." I think he meant longer than this. Meant to shoot .457 round balls.--$500.00. PRICE REDUCED. N-SSA Approved. SOLD PRF

Rogers and Spencer Army .44 cal. Blued Navy Arms Co. repro. w/total accurizing job about 3 years ago by H.P.Gregory, dovetailed front sight, trigger pull adjusted, w/soft case--$450.00. Comes w/N-SSA SAC-approved card.

I plan to be at Fall Nationals with other stuff for sale also. Don't want to ship. Send PM if interested. OK to inspect before buying (but they're in real good shape. Cylinders are numbered)

).

Do you happen to know when Rob Lewis switched from carbide to cobalt for his trigger jobs ?

Fletcher, I may stand corrected--could be wrong about the carbide and it could be cobalt. No longer remember--somebody help me with this. Both begin with C.

(Does anyone have an email address or a phone no. for Rob?)

Fletcher, You were right, of course. I just called Rob in Ohio and he conirmed that he used a cobalt alloy, so I have edited my orig. post above. Thanks for correction,

Remington is sold for $500 pending receipt of funds. If he doesn't come thru'. I have 1 backup. R&S has 1 person who says he wants to "look at it" and another who may buy it if first man doesn't.

I may be in 14th MS camp by Wed PM. If not, after 9 Thurs. & during days thereafter.
