1861 Springfield percussion black powder rifle for sale. Inspected by local gunsmith to ensure fire ability. (he was also the one who told me about this website) test fired and then cleaned. 0.50/58 cal 100grain. best guess of when manufactured, early 1960's from barrel markings. Armi sport italian made. "ac" in-circled. followed by the letter "s" and 962. patina intact, walnut stock intact and unmolested or refinished. tabs for sling, no sling. ramrod present and intact. Seen others bought and sold on this website. can only guess that they got their asking price. Email offers to dakrampage1@gmail.com. willing to ship. will send all perspective buyers pics via email.

The AC in a "circle" is not a year proof date mark.
It is in fact a Makers/Manufactures mark for Armi Sport.
Armi Sport 1861 Springfield production starts sometime in the late 1980's. 1987 = AS, 1988 = AT, and 1989 = AU, in a rectangular box. (you may have to dismount the barrel from the stock to find the proof date code)
