Are these the old style cardboard tubes we used to have and are they for .58 calibre ?

No, these aren't the cardboard tubes we used many years ago for the muskets 58 cal. minies. These are cardboard tubes made by Charlie Hahn for putting a powder charge and gluing the bullet into them to make a cartridge for use in the Sharps percussion carbines and rifles.

I have 58 & 54 caliber loading tube like they used to have as well.Paper rules!Charlie

any idea when the best time to call charlie hahn ? I left a message on his phone the other day and just tried him again a few moments ago. With no luck.

Looks like Charlie posted a reply to this thread yesterday, so he most likely knows your going to call him. He is very busy at times, working on all his projects for other customers.

Whenever I would call him, it would be around mid morning (10:00 - 10:30 AM), most times he would answer, if not just leave a message, and he will get in touch with you.
