Jim,

Please let me offer you a suggestion. If you are going to invest in one of these, go for a complet original in good working order or in one that has been restored for competition shooting.
You can find both of these on this forum.
The Indian repro's, well, that maybe another story?

Hey, I have an original Lorenz for sale. It was used by Pvt. Thomas Booker of the Georgia 57th and was modified from flintlock to percussion before the war by Leman of Philadelphia. It works like it should and includes the correct bayonne. It is a nice piece. I'm asking $1700.

Hello I have an Original for sale, all metal is in good condition and all metal is original, Lock is complete and the ramrod is all original. the only thing that is an issue is the stock forearm has been reduced in diameter at some time in the distant past (I'm not sure why???) and the barrel bands slide back further then they are supposed to, also two of the band spring are broken. I would sell for $700. I have pics I can send via e-mail if interested.
