My second request for help with my research is with my 1863-1864 spencer carbine its serial number is 27621 can any one help identifying if any ? What regiment this one may have been issued to thanks a lot

You need to post this on the spencer shooters forum. Do a google search....you will get much accurate information there on your spencer.:D

Hello Two Flints,
messages received through my email and answered thank you, signal wasn't too good where I was moored so i decided to move on, great news about my Spencer although I was quite surprised to find that it belonged to a Mounted Infantry Regiment. Yesterday I learnt some think new up until then I'd never heard off them before I'd always assumed it was either infantry of cavalry, Thanks again for the info and I registered with the Spencer society as advised.
