My plastic Smith cartridges have stretched over the years, and I'd like to try putting them through one of those sizing dies that have been discussed previously on the board. I understand the original provider isn't making them anymore. Does anyone know where I can get one?

what is your bullet size and what is your breech diameter?
What type of press do you intend to use? A single stage press?

I'm shooting a .513 bullet now, and would love something I could fit in my lubrasizer. I'm not sure what the original offering was set up to use.

The ones I made in the past screwed into a single stage press, I use mine in a lee, single stage press. To make one up I need both your bullet size, .513 and your chamber size, usually around .656. but i need to know the exact, for the die to work

John at Northeast Trader has been selling them for a few years. Although his last batch was defective (problem with the sub-contractor) he 'may have' resolved it. Check with him.

I have an older model of the Lee Turret press similar to this: http://leeprecision.com/4-hole-classic-turret-press.html

Will it work on a Turret press too? How much are they?

Yes that will work, all I would need to know is the distance between the top plate and the part that holds the base of the brass case.

I can make you one, if you would like.

I have a question that may be thought of as stupid....This sizing Die, is it designed to size the black plastic tubes once they swell to large to fit in the chamber? If that is the intent, I would be interested in one of these also. I have a pile of tubes that no longer fit because the swelled up.

Thanks!

Joe, I also sent you an e-mail with the measurements you asked for. I didn't get a response, so here it is again:

The distance from the bottom of the top plate to the top of the ram without a shell holder in it is 3 5/8 inches.
Bullet size : .513
Chamber size: .657

If you're still willing to make me a sizer, let me know how much and where to send the check.
