This is a 100% custom made Revolutionary War era Hessian Jaeger made by Ed Parry of BlackHart Arms. This was made from the original castings in the West Point museum collection. It is an exact identical copy of the original down to the heft, feel, shape and coloring of the original.
This Military Jaeger was used by the Hesse- Cassel Jeager Corps which landed in New York in August 1776.
The lock is beautifully made with a fly that pivots around the tumbler shaft, and a large, early, wide and square top frizzen. The patterns for this were made by Robert Fisch of the West Point Museum. It has a 28 1/2" octagon tapered and flared barrel in .62 caliber. The lock plate measures 5 1/4" x 1". The throw of the cock is 1 1/2".

The premium walnut stock has raised carvings around the lock flats, a cheekpiece and nice top carvings around the barrel tang. This flintlock features the brass escutcheon plate of the King on the wrist and has a functional, spring-loaded wooden patchbox. The sling is not included-sorry. Has the proper brass-tipped rammer and three-leaf rear sight for long-range firing. This rifle uses a full-sized musket flint for guaranteed ignition.

I wanted to keep this but the economy is biting me badly. My loss can be your rare rain. Postal Money Orders please. Asking $2200. Email Jim at anteekguy97@aol.com. Pics available.

Thanks,
Jim Chocole
