Need thread size specs for enfield

Need to repair threads for nipple on 2 band enfield. Using the same nipple as a orgininal.

Whether the Enfield is a repro or an original will largely determine the thread specs. Personally, I prefer to stick with the original specs used by the Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield Lock and by the London Armoury Company. That size is 5/16-18. Parker Hale used that size as well. If you have a repro not made in the UK then expect it to have metric threads. If it is an original "Tower" made musket then who knows what you have. The Birmingham gun makers all did their own thing.

If it is or you can get it to 5/16-18 without ruining a bit of history then doing so would be my recommendation.
