Question about Gallager Carbine

This is a question for the Small Arms Committee. I have an original Gallager carbine which does not have a patch box. I don't know if this means that it has been restocked or if there are some variants of the Gallager that were made without patch boxes. My question is, would this carbine be approved if it is otherwise original?

Thanks, John. I'm familiar with that rule. I was curious if this is a known variation or if the lack of a patch box is definitive proof of a previous alteration.
