Here we have an excellent shooter grade 3 band full military Remington Rolling Block in .43 Spanish. The barrel is 35” with the gun’s overall length at 51”. The rifle has 100% original parts with a brilliant bore and sharp crisp rifling. The extractor is the preferred rotating extractor as opposed to the sliding extractor. Each of the barrel bands are “U” marked. The tang has the very clear 3 line Remington information and patent dates. The entire gun has been beautifully blued and tweaked by a professional gun smith. The blue did not remove all of the age marks so some appropriate age pitting shows through the blue. The wood is intact and solid with the exception of a small crack on the right side near the nose cap. You can see the appropriate dings and scraps for a 100+ year old military rifle. The wood shows minimum shrinkage so the fit and finish is still good. The wood has not been sanded so all of the aging character is intact.
