The review starts on page 14.

It remains to be seen how these things actually shoot, but it looks like this is as big a deal in the evolution of commercially available reproductions of the P1853 as has happened in 40 years, or perhaps ever.

Hats off to Mr. Barry for the excellent review.

Hi Steve,

Yes, the improvements in the Enfield are really quite remarkable! It is also important to note that Pedersoli has mad improvement to their already SAC approved M-1861's and received approval to their new 1862 Richmond's as well.

Two questions have arisen with the "New Silver Line", as Pedersoli is calling them, 1. is how well do they shoot? and, 2. when will they be available?

#1. How well do they shoot?
This depends on how well the shooter does his/her homework. Setting the firearm up to shoot the bullet type/weight and/or powder charge one wishes to use has always been a must. (Bullet diameter with these new arms maybe less of an issue now ??)

#2. When and where will they be available?
That is tough to answer!
They should be available NOW!
But, are they available in enough quantities that maybe required? This is, perhaps another issue? These improved arms are suppose to be available now, but, it may not be for several months yet before they are here in large enough quantities for most people to have a chance to see and evaluate them for themselves.
Just a few thoughts from my prospective.

Yup, the proof will be in the shooting!

Here is Space Cowboy's Pedersoli 1861 Springfield target:

And here is a video, again of the Springfield:

This, along with the quality that Pedersoli is known for, make me hopeful that the accuracy of the Enfields should be quite good.

I don't know what happened to Balazs (Space Cowboy) - I hope he turns up soon!
