Ramshorn Maynard Carbine

While browsing the Regimental Quartermaster website, I ran across their page on the Ramshorn Maynard Carbine. Says its 100% USA made and NSSA approved. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this carbine?
I've been thinking on getting a carbine, and had pretty much decided on a Pietta Smith, either new or used. But seeing this gave me pause for thought.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Ahhhhh,,,,,,given the two choices I'd go with a repo Smyth. There's an original Maynard listed in the sale section by Chrissy of $1600 and it comes with over $275 worth of brass. Makes for a cheap purchase on a skirmish ready original Maynard carbine!
