If you don't already know about Jack's Battle Powder ($290 for 25 lbs. {$11.60 per lb.} shipped to your door) here's a poop sheet that explains everything.

Finishing up on a pound of the Jacks Battle. Haven't been able to tell the difference between it and 3F.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. A black powder of granulation suitable for both rifles and cannons. Never heard of that before. I wonder, out there in the world of black powder shooters, what kind of pressures does "Jack's" generate when used in some of the standard rifle loads packed behind some of the standard rifle projectiles. Surely there are some pressure tables for this. It has no graphite so I guess the powder granules are free to stick together. I wonder what affect that has on consistency, and again, on those same old pressures. But then this powder is for reenactors so no target shooters will ever use it---------
But why then is this ad on the N-SSA forum?

I hate to say it, but Egg may be correct. Dang! I said it.

I am concerned about the possible overpressure issues when using lead projectiles
