Any Ideas!!! The revolver functions wonderfully but I like to be able to remove all parts .It is just a thing.. I have been soaking the cylinder in Kroil for a year but can't remove the nipples . Heat has been suggested but I'm Leary . The threads on the nipples are so fine I'm afraid I'll snap one with to much force. Do I just call it a day and enjoy it the way it is? I would like to fire it . Any help will be appreciated . Thanks Bob

You might want to try Kroil with silicone. They claim it works twice as good as regular Kroil.
Another thing would be to Put the cylinder in your freezer overnight then heat the Kroil slightly and put the cold cylinder in the warm Kroil. It would suck in into the threads a little better as the cylinder warms up in the Kroil. Or you could just try to put the cylinder in the Kroil warm it up, holt it at 115 °F for about a half hour and let it cool in the refrigerator - then try to remove the nipples. The flash point for Kroil is 124°F (51oC). I would strongly suggest doing this when your wife is out of the house. Remember the flash point is 124°F!

hello , you can also shot quickly two or three cylinders and try to unscrew immediatly( it means in the following minutes!) the nipples .

don't forget that powder an cap combustion is an excellent cement for nipples ,especially in rfles , so unscrew lighly the nipples just after firing if you cannot clean quickly your gun.

When I bought my original remington ( with 95% of his original blue !) , the nipples ware rusted and bonded , i shot a cylinder and I remove easy the nipple ( I had not try with a key before , because I was afraid by the idea of make damage to the blue :().
A great elevation of temperature is also able to break the bonding of the rust , but it is less easy without equipment ,
