I don't want to offend any purist on this board so let me rephrase. This is a smooth bore Austrian musket, all the parts are original except the ramrod. Good trigger pull and the bore has been honed. $725.00 shipped, $700 delivered. Pictures available, please sent me your email address.

The percussion conversion was done by Leman, in Philiadelphia, in 1861 or 1862.

I was told it was legal and was going to shoot it but I don't want to give up my Macon conversion. We need John Holland's opinion.

This version of the Leman altered Austrian smoothbore musket, with front sight only, is legal for use in the N-SSA's competitive matches. That is, as long as it meets the dimensional criteria, i.e. that it hasn't been shortened from the original as issued overall length.

"Fluffed up"That's a GREAT way to describe that. "Whiskers" was what a teammate of mine used to call it.

Thanks Bob! I miked the bore and it's .71 dia. The gun looks to be full length and uncut so it's good to go for competition.
