Hi Y'all,
I have heard from several shooters that using Schuetzen powder in the .44WCF cartridge for the Henry will burn cleaner and allow more shots before the fouling deteriorates the gun's accuracy. Anyhow, I picked up six cans on the way out of the Fort and want to start using it. I do not want to use any filler as I load the .44s on a Dillon Square Deal (safely).
Please share your accurate loads so I can get started. I have been using 30gr. 3F GOEX with a 200gr. RNFP and the accuracy has been good, so I know the gun will shoot. I am looking at 30-34 gr. as a starting point. Does this make sense?

Thanks,
James

I used 34 grains of 3f with a 240 grain (44 mag) bullet cast in hard lead, sized to .429" with CCI Mag pistol primers.
