Does any manufacturer of 1862 Colt reproduction revolvers make it available with steel grip frame assembly rather than brass?

If such an 1862 is not available, does anyone make available an after-market steel grip frame assemly? While I think reproduction .31-caliber Colt percussion revolvers grip frames fit 1862 revolvers, I don't know this for sure. I believe some of these may have steel grip frames or may have after-market steel grip frame assemblies made for them.

I just do not care for brass.

Naphtali,

I don't know of any originals in that grip and frame size that use anything but brass on the trigger guard and back strap.
You may, however, find some that had the back strap silver plated (a kind of silver wash that wears off easily).
Later yet, post War, you may find some that were nickel plated.
I hope this helps,

There are a few known original 1862 specimens with iron grip straps and trigger guards. I don't know of or ever saw a repro one with the steel back strap and trigger guard.

Thanks!
