Hi,

I have an Italian made 1861 Springfield replica. The ramrod has a tulip at one end, with a swell about five inches from the tulip. The other end is male threaded with what appears to be 10-32 threads, but they were damaged when I bought the rifle. I attempted to re-cut the damaged threads with a SS nut, but ended up just cross-threading and wrecking them the rest of the way.

So, I'm looking for a new ramrod, hopefully identical with a threaded end so I can attach a worm, etc. I tried Dixie Gun Works, but their ramrod for the 1861 has no swell near the tulip and is evidently not threaded at the other end.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a replacement ramrod like the one I have?

Thanks.

Both Lodgewood and S&S Firearms should carry either the Euroarms or Armi Sport replacement Rods. Check the links section.
