James River Armory lockplate dies

James River Armory had numerous lockplate marking dies made up for several different Civil War firearms. Anyone know what became of these dies when they got out of the C/W buisness? I would hope someone still active bought them up but I've not seen any mention one way or the other.

Of special interest to me was the Palmetto barrel marking dies , I saw an example and it was very good.

James River is still in business, just not doing Civil War Guns. You could call them and inquire on the stamps. Mark is a great person to deal with. Wayne Shaw Harlans Light Cav 223CV
