Offered here is the following antique carbine. This carbine is a Spencer New Model in 56/50 caliber ( centerfire) that was made by F and T in Beligum in 1873. There is only an estimated one thousand of these carbines made. The numbers on this carbine ( as most metal parts on these were serial numbered) match. The exterior metal shows moderate pitting , but the bore is bright and strong. Wood is about fair to good with a light crack on both sides of the stock near the buttplate. The mechanics on the gun work as they are supposed to. The Beligians marked this gun Union Army Liege on top of receiver and stock hasa good cartouch. A good shootable antique Spencer at a great price! $875 shipped to lower 48. ( I can take check money order or discreet online payment Price LOWERED TO $775 SHipped

Is a Belgian made Spencer legal for N-SSA competition? Would it require a SAC card?

I looked in the approved firearms rules and saw nothing about original arms variants.

I might be interested in the Spencer and live in South Jersey not too far from New Castle. You say 56-50 center fire and it is in good fire able condition. I am not concerned with approval by any organization but might want it for target shooting so what I need to know is if you have shot the rifle yourself and whose ammo did you use. Do you have any ammo to go with this firearm? .56-50 is not all that easy to come by and pretty expensive. If it is possible to come down and view it let me know and I'll shoot you my e-mail and phone number. Since this might be construed by NJ as an interstate purchase of a modern firearm do you have an FFL holder nearby who could do the paper work? Thanks

I have corresponded with Mike, and the carbine has been sold.

To answer another inquiry, yes the N-SSA/SAC does allow the Falisse & Trapmann to be used in our competitive matches. The reason is that it is considered to be a reasonable replica of the original. In addition, it is exactly what was approved as the ArmiSport replica Spencer Carbine.
