I have two items for sale. First item is a 2nd Generation Colt 1860 Army which I purchased brand new in 1979. SN 203032. It has had approximately 50 rounds shot through it and that was the first month I owned it. It has not been shot in 32 years and is in excellent condition. This pistol is registered in my name at the Colt Factory. The only visible wear is on the left edge of the backstrap where the bluing slightly rubbed off. It comes in the original box with the original manuals and original bill of sale in my name. It's my understanding that this pistol was made during the first year that Colt reintroduced the model 1860 Army. Unless it's unfired, you won't find one in better condition. Asking $500.

The second item is a 1st Generation Parker-Hale Enfield Royal Artillery Musketoon. This is not an original Musketoon but the one that was made in the 70's using the original Tower of London Patterns. All the parts were made in England and the rifle was assembled in Birmingham England. I purchased this rifle off this forum about 2 years ago because I always wanted one, and I thought that it would make a great deer rifle because of its short length. I figured it would be real handy in a tree stand or in thick brush. I've never fired it! Overall I think that this rifle is in very good condition for its age considering that it was used as a skirmish rifle. It was very well taken care of and the bore is excellent. It still has the original nipple protector which is often missing from these rifles. The bluing is likewise in very good shape showing very little wear. The color case hardening on the lock is starting to show a little wear. Also, the stock, (which by the way is a beautiful piece of wood), shows the usual small dents and dings acquired through 30 years of use. It comes with a leather sling attached as shown in the photo's. Asking $500.

Welcome to the Bullentin Board. You have some nice guns for sale, at reasonable prices.

Your Parker-Hale is considered a 1st Generation, as Parker-Hale did not exist until 1880 and did not build muzzleloading Enfields until the 1970s. As you stated, these front loaders were built in England. 2nd Generation P-Hs are those that were stamped as being built in Italy.

Thanks for the education Muley. I wasn't quite sure but I was under the impression that parker-hale had been around longer than that and had produced the original rifles during the war years. that's why I called it a 2nd generation. Thanks for the correction.
