I am looking for a basic, beginner 2-band skirmish gun for my fiance, as she is going to be shooting this upcoming season. If anybody has a good gun at a good price, and its reasonably sighted, please let me know.

Thanks,

David Disher

I have a new generation Parker-Hale. It was my first gun purchased in 2001. I shot it for 5 yrs and did very well with it. It has been loaned to a teammate for
the last 2 years. It shoots a Hogdon .580 bullet very well. I'll sell the gun for $ 4oo plus shipping, and the .580 mold for $50 more. I also bought another P-H about 5 yrs ago just to have as a spare. I had a new front sight dove-tailed on the gun and put it away for a spare. I recently sold it to a teammate to have as a spare, but he has never needed it and would like to sell it. It shoots a .575 minnie. I believe he wants $600 for it which is what it cost me. Both guns shoot the Hogdon bullet very well. The second gun has probably been shot less than 100 times.

Thanks...the price is certainly do-able, however, I neglected to mention that she is rather small in stature, and has shouldered the Enfield style weapons...very hard for her to get comfortable with. I was looking for something along the lines of a 55 Artillery, Austrian Lorenz, or Mississippi. I should have stated that up front. Sorry for the trouble.

Dave,

Give Charlie Hahn a call. From time to time he may have an artillery model for sale. A team mate of mine got one from him for his daughter and is very light weight.
Here is Charlie's phone number & emal. Hope this helps you.
